Meral Güler was born in London, England. She received her M.A in Fine Art from Chelsea School of Art, U.Arts and pursued a career in documentary film making. Within her photographic works she strives to capture the politics and poetics of prosaic landscapes. She searches for fragments of the ironic within her environment, in an attempt to see beyond the surface. Meral is currently living and working in Los Angeles, California.
